17 Feb

Yesterday we hosted our first Oprius Academy webinar. These webinars will be running about every two weeks, and will provide advanced training on specific areas of Oprius.

Our first course was all about how to Master The Sales Process by setting up simple Groups and Plans to make sure that you are focusing on the important activities and not getting bogged down in administration. Check out the recorded webinar at the link below and please let us know your feedback in the comments.

(We apoloize, but this was the first time we were using this screencasting software, and made a little mistake on the recording. There are 16 minutes of silence in the recording before we actually start, so once it loads, fast forward to about 16min20sec and you’ll be at the start of the webinar.)

How Can We Help You?

10 Nov

You may have noticed that yesterday Oprius launched a new feature within the application to offer you another level of customer support. This new feature is in trial right now, and we are eager to get feedback from our users. We are always looking for new ways to engage with our users and offer them all the help that they need with Oprius. After all, Oprius is designed to help increase your sales and grow your business through managing your relationships; now, the Oprius team is just a click away so that you can have your questions answered live by one of our Support Staff during opening hours.

At the bottom right of the screen, you’ll see a new bar like the one below. When you click it, you can enter your question and jump straight into a conversation with somebody from our team. If you don’t see the chat bar at the bottom of your account, LiveChat is offline.

After fewer than 24 hours, the feedback has been great. Offering support this way allows our team to know what page a visitor is on while they are having problems, and quickly and easily give them links to appropriate articles or support videos in the Support Lounge. At the end of a conversation, users can request to have the chat transcript emailed to them for future reference. As always, if your problem requires is, somebody from our team will be happy to get on the phone with you.

As this has just been rolled out, we will be experimenting with how to manage it best as we get feedback from our users. Right now, the chat bar (just above) is always visible at the bottom right of your account. There is no way to remove this bar, but once you’ve clicked it to initiate a chat, you can close that chat by clicking the “_” at the top right of the chat box.

We would love to hear your feedback about this new feature. Please feel free to message us through the new feature, or comment below.

Tutorial – Spice up your Autoresponder

12 Sep

Today we’re going to quickly walk you through creating a Relationship Builder Plan in Oprius that includes not only emails (like an Autoresponder), but also a few phone call and task steps. This is a key to automating your sales process and increasing your sales with proper follow-up.

Step 1 - Click the New Plan button

First, we’ll visit the Relationship Builder tab in Oprius by clicking the icon of the two hands shaking at the top, then click the “New Plan” button.

In this example, I would give the Plan a name like “New Leads”.

The next screen is the basic overview of everything that you have in the plan. The first box is for changing the name of the plan, the next is to add/edit steps of the plan, further on you can Link the Plan to a Group and set Stay In Touch Reminders. Finally, you can add contacts manually, and activate the plan.

Step - Create your first Email step

In our example here, I want to create an Autoresponder plan for my new leads, but I want to spice up a basic email Plan with a few phone calls so that I can really reach out to my prospects with a personal touch that will separate me from the competition. The first thing I want to do, though, is send them an automatic email so that as soon as they fill out my form and approve to receive emails from me, they get something right away. I like to offer them something of value here, like a whitepaper.

Step 3 - Edit Email Step

Now you get to compose your first email. You’ll want to give it a Summary (which is just a title for you to see), and then specify the “Days After”. The “Days After” should be the number of days after the previous step was completed that you want this one to take place. Since this is the first Step in my plan, and I want to to happen as soon as I have Permission to email these people, I’ll set it to 0 Days. Next, just compose your email and add any necessary attachments, and click the Save button at the bottom.

Step 4 - Create a Phone Call Step

Now that you’ve saved that, you’ll be back at the Plan Overview page. This time we’ll create a “Phone” step. So click Add Step–>Phone. I suggest that your first call comes 1 or 2 days after you sent them their whitepaper (or something else of value) and that you use the “Description” field to include some notes for yourself about what to talk about on the call.

Remember, on that intro call don’t be trying to sell anything yet. Check out this Blog post for information on what to do on an intro call. After that call, you’ll want to let them know that you’ll follow up next week. Between now and then, you’ll want to send them a couple more autoresponder emails giving them something else of value between your next call.

Finally, you’ll add another call step a week later to see where your relationship should go from there, and also create a Task step to send them some samples (if you have them). After that, your Plan might look something like this…

Your Plan Might Look Like This

Setting up your Autoresponder like this and spicing it up with a few traditional sales activities, like calls and sending samples, is a proven strategy for success. If you want to know how all of this would work once you’ve created the Plan, and how Oprius would help remind you of how and when to perform your follow-up activities, check out our full online training video — Oprius 101.

There’s plenty more power to the Relationship Builder feature in Oprius, such as automatic Stay-In-Touch reminders that will let you know if it’s been too long since you’ve had any communication with a contact. As always, comment below if you have any questions/comments/suggestions about how we showed things here, or if you have any other tips that you use for successful sales using the Relationship Builder.

If you haven’t got an Oprius account yet to try this with, you can click here to sign up for a Free 30 Day trial. We don’t take any credit card information for trials here — we want for you to be able to see if Oprius will be a good fit for your needs without any cost to you.
